Overview

The Negro Southern League of 1920 was formed in early March. During the months of April through August the Nashville White Sox played a variety of NSL and non-NSL teams. For the White Sox the season started on Wed, April 28, 1920, against the Knoxville Giants, with a three game series in Nashville, which the Giants took, two games to one. The White Sox's season ended on Sat, Aug. 7, 1920, in a three game series against the Knoxville Giants. The Sox took that series, losing one game and winning two.

Season Summary

From my research, the Nashville White Sox played at least 45 games, against both NSL and non-league teams. The White Sox had an overall record of 15-30 (.333 winning percentage). They played 42 NSL games, with a 15-27 record (.357 winning percentage). The non-NSL games played numbered 3 (all against the St. Louis Stars). The Giants had a 0-3 record (.000 winning percentage) in non-NSL play.

The number of games may not be fully complete, as some newspaper reports are vague and research is ongoing.
